Constitutional Law Center Conference, Gender, Health & the Constitution, Friday, October 13, 2023, 9am to 4pm (The University of Akron School of Law, Room 180)

This symposium discusses the many emerging issues of gender and health that raise questions of constitutional law and policy. These concerns at the intersection of bodily integrity and gender autonomy are seen daily in the news. Topics that will be debated include abortion, Covid mandates, physician regulation, maternal health, surrogacy, transgender bans, state health care freedom, and medical gaslighting. Scholars will explain these emerging issues and offer some diagnosis and prognosis for the constitutional issues raised.
