Course Description: This course is an overview of case assessment, discovery and methodologies utilized by a financial expert to quantify and/or rebut damages in commercial disputes. Topics include a discussion on what an expert does in early stages of an engagement and their role in discovery with respect to both financial and non-financial information. This seminar also will cover the types of disputes an expert may be involved in, the process of quantifying alleged damages, and the expert’s role beyond computing and refuting damages. Case studies are included throughout the discussion, and there will be time for questions and answers.
