Got burning questions? We’ve got answers!

Got burning questions? We’ve got answers.

Reach Out for Nonprofits invites you to join us virtually on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 10-11:00 a.m. as our panel of volunteer nonprofit leaders and attorneys discuss “Back to School: COVID Issues for Nonprofits as Employees Return to Work and Kids Learn from Home.” As we head into fall, what do nonprofits need to look out for, both as employers whose staff are dealing with working from home and online learning for their kids, and liability for opening their doors while COVID is still at large?

In these times of shutdown uncertainty, government assistance, and general anxiety about how nonprofits can carry out their mission to serve the community and protect themselves, their volunteers, and their employees, let us help provide guidance with Reach Out Live.

Featured panelists:

·         Jason Dejelo (Calfee, Halter & Griswold LLP)

·         Peter Mapley (Sobel, Wade & Mapley, LLC)

·         Danielle Sobel (Teach for America & President of the Junior League of Cleveland)

·         Moderator: Alex Campbell (Schneider Smeltz Spieth Bell LLP)

In these times of shutdown uncertainty, government assistance, and general anxiety about how nonprofits can carry out their mission to serve the community and protect themselves, their volunteers, and their employees, let us help provide guidance with Reach Out Live. Our speakers will focus on employment issues on Sept. 29, but will also open up for general questions from the audience.

Registration required: please click here.

Reach Out Live is open to all nonprofit leaders, attorneys, and board members. Please submit questions in advance to jpaine@clemetrobar.org for our speakers to address, or submit your questions via the Q&A function within Zoom during the live discussion.

Reach Out Live will be held monthly from September through November, 2020, including CLE presentations for attorneys (the Sept. 29 Reach Out Live does not include CLE credit). On October 27, Reach Out Live will partner with the CMBA’s Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts for “Political Activism, Lobbying, and Free Speech for Nonprofits” – registration coming soon. For more information, including video from previous Reach Out Live discussions, past seminar materials, and an updated list of resources and guides for nonprofits under COVID-19, please visit www.CleMetroBar.org/ReachOut.
