Don’t miss this special opportunity to be sworn into
the highest court of our land.
*Please note that to qualify for admission to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, you must have been admitted to practice in the highest court of a State, Commonwealth, Territory or Possession, or in the District of Columbia, for at least three years. You will need a current certificate of good standing and a completely executed copy of the application form containing your personal statement and the statement of two sponsors endorsing the correctness of your statement. Both sponsors must be members of the Bar of the Supreme Court of the United States, who personally know, but are not related to, you.
The Federal Bar Association, Northern District of Ohio Chapter, will be coordinating the registration for the luncheon and applications for admission to The Supreme Court of the United States. You must be an FBA member to participate in the ceremony. Link below to membership application.
Special note: Admission as part of this Special Program is based on written motion and must conform to the procedures specified on the Application for Admission for admission by written motion, as indicated at the bottom of page two of the application form. The online Registration form and Application for Admission (including the “Statement of Sponsors,” signed by BOTH of your sponsors at the middle of page two, AND the “Motion for Admission” at the bottom of page two, signed by one of your sponsors [whose name will appear as “Movant” on your Certificate]) along with all supporting documentation and fees, must be completed and returned to the Federal Bar Association, Northern District of Ohio Chapter no later than July 20, 2018. Be certain to provide sufficient time to obtain your certificate of good standing from the Supreme Court of the state in which you were admitted.
